"Amarillo by morning, down from Springville..."

So after a very busy week of finals, packing, and driving for 13 hours, we arrived at our destination of Amarillo, Texas. Amarillo really is in the middle of a desert, but the weather is quite pleasant so far. Lots of fresh air :). We will be here for the first 2 months of the summer and then the last two down in Lubbock. There have been some tornado warnings in Lubbock latlely so hopefully all of that goes away by the time we get there.
The apartments we are staying in are very nice. They are completly furnished with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, couches, and even a microwave. Which means we won't be taking many trips to the unwanted furniture dumpster looking for stuff like we did last year. LOL (last year's apartments didn't have a microwave and we found a perfectly good one that someone was going to throw away).
We're really excited to be here and expect to have a great summer together. Yesterday was Jared's 25th birthday and also the most hectic day of the summer- the first day of selling. I surprised Jared that morning by decorating our bedroom with birthday stuff while he was in the bathroom and then againg during their daily meeting. Kassidi Bridge and I interrupted their meeting with the Birthday song and cheesecake (Jared's favorite). Then they set off to knocking doors until ten o'clock at night. I helped set up the office for a few hours answering phones and taking inventory (I'm especially glad that I won't be doing that all summer). It was a very busy day but a good one. It definitley went better than expected in the sales department-nine systems sold with only eight salesmen. This is escpecially good since this was the first time for many of them to even knock on a door. By the end of May the sales team will have 17 members so I'm sure they will all have an excellent summer.
