Weishaar Family Reunion

We spent a fun filled week at Lake Blaine, MT with all of our Weishaar cousins. We jumped off the dock, kayaked, fished (thank you Uncle Jeff for taking Brig so many times!), played on the wave runners (thank you Uncle Jorden!), rode bikes, and played a game of baseball. We even managed to take family pictures (thank you Aunt Mauri)! Brigham liked fishing the best and Benson liked riding the wave runners!
On our way home we toured Lewis and Clark Caverns with Jake, Rachel, and crew. The caves were really wet this year and we saw LOTS of bats.

No peeing in the hot tub!

Spring Soccer and the End of the School year

Both of the boys tried soccer for the first time this Spring. Most games were cold and windy but the boys still enjoyed it, for the most part. Benson was on a preschool team called the Green Lions. Benson wasn't that interested in kicking the ball but he improved a lot. And he sure enjoyed being around the other kids. He was always the first to come in and put his hand in for the team cheer. Such a great team player! Brig was on a kindergarten team with a lot of his friends from school. They were called the Blue Jays. Brig has a lot of speed and agility and was good at chasing down the ball. We just need to work on aiming and kicking for the Fall season.
While Dad was gone on his annual brothers' mountain bike trip, we decided we needed some pets. Haha, the boys picked out two kittens and named them Yoda (Brig's) and Sunny (Benson). They live outside and in our garage and are really good to put up with the kids manhandling them.
Brig finished the school year with a field day and singing program. I was not surprised in the least when during tug-of-war he went to the front and was cheering on the rest of his teammates the whole time. He is a natural leader and really great at encouraging others.
Jared and I played on an city rec co-ed volleyball team together with some friends. It was great having a date night playing a sport that I love, even though we didn't win a single game. I also played on a women's league, we fared a little better than the co-ed team.
