7 MONTHS

This is a few weeks late...
Brig is turning into such a little boy! I admit I have had a hard time adjusting to the fact that he is getting older. He is no longer a baby. Just in the last couple of weeks he has displayed so much more energy and mobility. He does not like to sit still. He sits up all by himself and rolls around all over the place. It is quite a chore to get him dressed or change is diaper. He is not crawling yet, but if you place him on all fours he will try and kick his legs as if he was in his jumperoo. It makes him look like a frog trying to hop. It's really cute. We think he weighs about 18 pounds and he wears a lot of 9 month size clothing. He absolutely loves solid food. In fact, it is difficult to get him to eat a bottle. On a good day he will eat 20 ounces. He really likes "table food"- basically anything I eat, he wants. Some favorites are spaghetti, mashed potatoes and gravy, rice, bbq pulled pork, asparagus, and cheesy green beans.

We had a long week and half with him being sick. For the first few days he had just a little cough. Jared would get his stethoscope out and listen to his lungs every night after work. I am so glad he is a nurse! Then one morning he woke up and he was wheezing and his cough sounded horrible and Jared wasn't home so I knew he needed to be seen. The diagnosis was RSV and he had to have albuterol four times a day through a nebulizer. I think it really helped because he was better in five days. Brigham was such a trooper while he was sick. He hardly cried; he was just extra sleepy and he didn't have much of an appetite. I am so glad it wasn't worse.

We've been enjoying nicer weather lately. A lot of 50 degree weather with no snow. Hooray! We took Brig to the hot springs and to a park for the first time. He loved the pool. He kicked his legs and was fascinated by the water fountain.

Finalized!

Brigham's adoption was finalized March 2. Hooray! What a wonderful feeling. It was a quick hearing; the whole thing lasted about 10-15 minutes. We talked to the judge via video conference because he couldn't make it to WSS. Our attorney, Chad, presented the documents and the judge asked a few questions and then we became the legal parents of Brigham!

Brigham's Blessing

Brig was blessed in chuch on March 4. Jared gave him a beautiful blessing. We have one special boy on our hands; he is going to do a lot of great things in his life!

I love this picture. They look quite a bit a like. Brigham had such a blast the whole weekend. He loved all of the attention and his entertaining cousins. We were so glad to have so much family there for the occasion but sad to see everyone leave. Brig has been quite bored with me this past week. :)

After chuch we had a luncheon with our families and our branch family. Have I mentioned I love being a part of our small branch? There are few of us but we are strong and super close to each other. We meet in the senior center every Sunday for two hours. No pews, no classrooms, and even though it is not a dedicated church building, the spirit can easily be felt there. We have never felt so needed nor grown so much though church service. We each have mulitple callings and speak quite often. We love it!

An Eternal Family

The Weishaar Family
Sealed together for eternity,
March 3, 2012,
in the Billings, Montana temple.

Words have escaped me...I can't express how special this day was. We will be together forever. It was so wonderful to be in the temple with Brigham. He looked like an angel all dressed in white. Thank you to many of our family members and friends for sharing this perfect day with us.
Here are some pictures from the big day...all out of order. I will also put some up of the finalization of Brig's adoption and his baby blessing soon.

Sleeping on the way to Billings.
