Spring Break

We took a trip to Utah in March to visit Jackie and Mark and family, as well as our sons' birth families! Yeah for road trips! It was a whirlwind week visiting with everyone. We even got to see Grandma moo moo because she has been living with Jackie and taking care of her while she fights breast cancer. UPDATE: Jackie won! She is cancer free! I am still in awe over her courage and strength while going through this major trial. The whole week we were there I never heard her complain or be sad for herself. I had a hard time holding back the empathy tears while I was there. Jackie you are an inspiration to all! Here she is teaching my boys how to bathe baby Rosie. Haha they LOVE babies.

We got to go to the Jordan River temple open house, beautiful inside but the kids were kind of stinkers, as you can tell from the picture below.

We spent a day with Luke on BYU campus. The remodel of the Bean museum is awesome and the dinosaur museum was new to us.

Next we went to the Museum of Natural Curiosity with Lonia and her family. The kids had a blast checking out all of the exhibits. Brig also got to go swimming and to the dinosaur museum. Then on Sunday we all had dinner together at my sister's house. Pictures are all out of order by the way. Then with Hannah and her family we met at the Living aquarium and went to dinner together. It was our first time at the aquarium and the perfect place for Benson, our animal lover. Every visit with our sons' birth families get better and better. It is awesome to see everyone together, laughing and loving on one another. We are overjoyed that there are so many people who love Brigham and Benson!! We love you all, thank you for spending time with us!

Moving to Gillette and Benson Turns 4

We finally closed on our house January 5th, after a delay because of the seller not getting the hot water heater installed within code regulation. We moved in the same day and had lots of help unloading the truck. We didn't move very much stuff cross county with us; we only used 11 feet of the truck. The boys were excited to see their new room and to help Dad put together their new bunk bed. The day after we unloaded, Jared and the kids came down with the flu and were very tired. Jared slept for 36 hours straight. I unpacked for a couple of days and then also caught the bug. We were wiped out for the first couple of weeks. So far we really like living in Gillette. It is a fast growing town with 32,000 people. Demographics are on the young side, which means lots and lots of kids. And the town is full of fun things for kids. There are always events and activities going on and a HUGE fancy rec center and arena. Brig loves his new school, Buffalo Ridge, and his teacher Ms. Streifel. He has had no problems making friends of course. We love living at the end of a cul-de-sac, the kids can ride their bikes and our neighborhood is full of kids. Benson turned 4 and finally got to leave nursery! He loves being a sunbeam and thinks he's pretty cool when he walks to primary with Brig. All he wanted for his birthday was chocolate cupcakes with lots of chocolate frosting. Easy enough! He is my sweet tooth boy and loves anything with sugar haha. We love you Benson!
