November goods

November has been a busy month so far...

The first thing I want to say is congratualtions to Jorden Weishaar and Ariel Staples!! They are engaged! I stole this picture from the ladie's website who did their pictures so shhh! Don't get me in trouble:) Jorden is Jared's younger brother and we are so excited for you!

We enjoyed spending a Saturday with our friends Elly and Daniel. Daniel learned to drive on Jared's bike. He is quite the biker dude now:)
We also celebrated my 21st birthday! Jared spoiled me like always. We went out to eat breakfast at Kneaders in Provo. They have really good home-made, all you can eat, french toast for $5. The french toast is super thick served with strawberries, whipped cream, and carmel syrup. Need I say more? It's so filling that really all you can eat turns out to be 1 or 2 peices.:) After that I had an apointment with the eye doctor and when I was done, I came out of the office to find Jared with flowers and a carmeled apple. Then for dinner we ate at Macaroni Grill. Delicious! It is my new favorite restaurant. They have the best Italian sodas I have ever had, and we got to eat in front of the fireplace. And our couches finally arrived yesterday! I absolutely love them. They really make a big difference in our living room. Now we just gotta find some side tables.
One more thing...we have enjoyed having season tickets to the BYU football games this year. This will likely be my last season watching as a student-I plan on graduating in August. Yay! I really feel quite blessed to be a part of BYU. Here are some shots from the last home game of the season. BYU v San Diego State. I also had some cool touchdown videos but I couldn't get them to load. Oh well. And this coming saturday is the big game, BYU v Utah, so nobody better wear red this week!

Happy Halloween!

Our friends the Bridges held a halloween party last night. We had a good time! It was our first Halloween pary that we've been to together. We played games, ate good food, and told scary stories. Jared and I didn't put much effort into our costumes cuz we went straight from school to the party. There were some great costumes at the party! Next year I promise we'll come up with something better:) Here are a few pictures that I got from Kassidi's blog..thanks Kassidi!

Scary costumes Corban and Teneill!

Brandon and Kassidi Bridge..or should I say the Iraqi royalty?

All of us playing games

An Early Birthday Present

Ta dah! Jared and I picked out our new couches for my birthday present! This is the loveseat and the sofa has three cushions. They look like they are leather but they are microfiber. We don't have them yet though cuz they are being ordered from Ashley Furniture to Great Northern Furniture in Pleasant Grove for us. We got a killer deal! The store is closing so all the prices are extremely low. They should be in the first week of November.

Update...

I am actually writing this post from home...we got the internet installed today! We are looking foward to not spending so much time on campus doing homework now.12 hour days on campus are just too much.

The 3rd weekend in September we got together with Jared's family in Island Park, Idaho. We stayed at Uncle John's cabin. It was a lot of fun being with that many of Jared's family. We went 4-wheeling, canned tomatoes (yes I married into an ambitious family-thanks for crackin the whip Grandma Arlene:), visited, and of course ate a lot of really good food. The 4-wheeling trails were a lot of fun but I don't think i've ever been dustier in my enitre life. The first picture above is of Jared's mom Sherry, his brother Jorden, Jared's dad Wayne, and sister Heather. I'm sure Heather will love this picture:)
Then came conference weekend and Mom and Dad came for a visit. Dad had a fun time teasing Lenny and Lenny had a good time chewing Dad up. I think we should have named him Shercon after the tiger from the Jungle Book. By the way Lenny is neutered now too! Anyways, Boston was a little afraid of Lenny. We did have a good time playing baseball with Jackie's kids and listening to conference together. Duke was also able to come over for a visit. He has been the "secret" mascot for his school he is teaching at. So he brought his wolf suit along to scare the kids. It definitely did. Poor Cooper was so scared he fell to the ground. I thought he had passed out. You sure make a good wolf Duke! AND ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ~Ladies he's single;)

Thanks Dad and Mom for coming to visit! See you soon!

We moved in a year ago

It's hard to believe we moved into our cute townhome a year ago! Maybe this is because we actually haven't lived in it for a year with selling during the summer;) Anyways we still love our home and are very grateful to Mark for helping us set up the mortgage and Jackie for letting us crash their place before we moved in to ours.
We are very blessed!

P.S. We are going to get new couches soon! I kinda know what I want but any ideas?

It's good to be back...

Sorry it has taken me so long to write about the end of our summer and our journey home to Utah. I am so proud of Jared for having such a good summer. He finished with 195 sales, which is a lot more than the summer before! Way to go Jared! The drive back wasn't too bad. I enjoyed the scenery of New Mexico, Colorado, and Southern Utah. We ended up having plenty of room in our car since Jorden did not ride back with us. We left a space for a cardboard box with Lenny's litter box and food inside it. It worked out quite well and Lenny slept most of the ways on my lap. As we got closer to Springville, we finally got to see the mountains. They looked unreal! We really like living in Springville, especially because there are mountains in all four directions. We like riding our bikes around town together as you can see from the picture.

School has been fine so far...we lucked out somehow and both of us only have classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. So we decided we would definitely take advantage of this and do fun things on the weekends. Our first weekend bakc we went to Park City. We went up their Friday and shopped the tourist shops on main street and also the outlet mall. Then on Saturday we went to the Olympic Park. We got the chance to watch the athletes in training. They were practicing ski jumps. The jumps had some kind of special brushes on them and they were constantly misted with water. They would ski down the jumps, do their twists and flips, and then land in a swimming pool. It was really cool to watch and I attatched a video of it below (sorry if it's sideways).

Then we went down two zipline rides. One of them is supposedly the steepest one in the world. We rode the ski lift to the top of the peak and then they harnessed us up and let us fly! We also rode the Apline slide which is like a boblsed ride only your on a tobaggon like contraption. For 50 dollars more, Jared could have gone down the real bobsled run at 65 mph! Thankfully he decided it was too much money for a minute long ride. It was a fun weekend!

Last week we went to church and discovered that our ward has tripled in size since we left, and it had just barely split before we left too. Springville is really growing!
This weekend we are going to Jared's uncle's cabin near Yellowstone. We are excited for the adventure. Only thing is I sprained my ankle really bad last night playing volleyball so I'll be hobbling around on crutches.

I got "tagged" by Elly

As soon as I download some pics from my camera i'll do another post. But i'll just do this right now as I'm waiting for my next class. So this is my first time of being "tagged". Here it is:

N. NUMBER OF BROTHERS AND SISTERS? 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
O. ORANGES OR APPLES? definitely apples
P. PHOBIAS OR FEARS? Falling. I really hate the 'free fall" feeling on amusement park rides. We got a season pass to Six Flags last summer when we were in DC. Jared thought it was really funny how scared I'd get on the rides. At least I didn't pass out like Jake has done. Not too crazy about spiders or dirty rats either. The rat thing is from one of my elementary teachers reading "The Jungle" to us. What on earth was she thinking?
Q. QUOTE? can't think of one at the moment
