6 Months and Crawling!

Our sweet Benson at six months weighs 18 pounds and two ounces (50th percentile). He is very tall at 28.75 inches (97th percentile)! He can situp by himself with his arms supporting him. He has two bottom teeth that came in about a month ago. He is very pleased with his newest accomplishment- crawling! It is mostly an army crawl, but he can get anywhere he wants to go, and he is getting quick! He hardly wants to be held or sit still anymore. He wants to go, go, go! Just in the last couple of weeks he decided to be interested in solid food. His favorites right now are peach oatmeal, squash, sweet potatoes, and mashed bananas. He is still figuring out how to get the food to the back of his mouth, so most of it ends up on his face and clothes. :)
Here's a good shot of those new teeth!

Before he figured out to crawl he loved to do a "flying superman" and kick his legs as fast as he could!

Benson loves Daddy. He gets super excited whenever he sees him and squeels and laughs!

Practicing sitting up

Knawing on a pizza crust

Brigham and his best friend, Anna. They are so silly together.

I had to take this picture of these big alligator tears. Benson pulled Brig's hair. For once Benson was making Brig cry and not the other way around. Haha

Kisses for Daddy

Smothering my little green monster with kisses!

Two clean boys fresh out of the tub. Rasberry time!
Snapshot of the Canadian rockies on the drive home from Cardston
We made a couple weekend trips up to Shelby. Once to attend the Carsdston temple, and once to see Dylan and Mauri and our new nephews.
Brig and cousin Tyler were tight as glue. We had fun playing at Tiber Dam Reservoir four times! Each day was perfect- no wind, warm but slightly clouded over, and a great sandy beach for the kids.
This beach was perfect because it had very shallow water until about 50 yards out.
Tyler getting buried in the sand!

Benson thought it was pretty cool hanging out in the shade. He was ok with sticking his toes in the water, but not any farther than that. By our last trip out there, he discovered crawling around in the sand was really fun and messy!

Chillin' with Papa Choo Choo

Have I mentioned Benson LOVES swinging in his swing?

Here's some more fun at the lake. Uncle Gregg dug a huge trench in the sand for the kids.

Ellie keeps right up with all of her brothers and boy cousins!

Uncle Jorden brought out his boat and wave runner. The boat wasn't working so great, but it did manage to give me a pull on the skiis! And the wave runner gave some WILD rides on the tube. Ariel and I had a good system of locking our legs together to keep us from falling off. I'm pretty sure on every turn one of us was always half-ways in the water. The men had a contest who could stay on the tube the longest while Jorden tried his hardest to throw them off. The longest tube ride was 26 seconds!
The four youngest Weishaar grandbabies. Benson 6mos, Anniston 3 mos, Dieter and Milton 4 mos.
It was really fun seeing Dylan and Mauri and their identical twin boys. They were visiting while on a short break from Dental school.
"Oh yeah! I've got this sitting thing figured out!"

Get him Benson!

A few weeks ago we went camping with Jake and Rachel and crew. We stayed in the Indian Flats Forest Service cabin about an hour from our house. We had a great time 4 wheeling and soaking up the mountainous views. Oh, and let's not forget playing on the bunk beds, making mustaches out of tree moss, roasting hot dogs and turning the tent into a bouncy house. Cousins rule!

The crew on top of the lookout that is 7,000 feet high. It was a little rainy, but you could still see Helena, and our subdivision behind the lake to the left.

Jake, maybe you should grow a stache for school?? :)

Jared was the master chef running the griddle.

We ended our camping trip with a dip in Hauser lake
